Orange thyme sauce
It’s the fresh thyme that makes the orange thyme sauce have such a unique and lovely flavour.

How to make Orange thyme sauce
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp Fresh Thyme leaves – chopped
- 180 ml Orange juice
- 1 Onion – chopped into small squares
- 200 ml Chicken stock
- 150 ml Creme Fraiche
- 1 tbsp Butter
- Salt & Pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp flour (optional)
Equipment
- Saucepan
- Chef’s knife
- Measuring jug
Instructions
- Fry the butter until melted in a saucepan.
- Add the chopped onion and fry until soft and golden
- Add the chopped thyme leaves, chicken stock and orange juice
- Bring to the boil and simmer until it has reduced to half
- Then add the creme fraiche and salt & pepper to taste
- Stir until smooth
Optional
If the sauce is to thin and runny then add flour to thicken it. Simply blend 1 or 2 tbsp plain flour in a jug with the same amount of water and stir until no longer lumpy. Then add to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
