Rosemary maple salmon

Eating salmon is great as part of a healthy meal plan. It’s a lovely source of protein and very low in saturated fat. In addition the rosemary not only adds extra flavour but it also contains many antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anti-inflammatory compounds.
How to make rosemary maple salmon
Ingredients:
- 2 salmon fillets
- 2 tbsp Maple syrup
- 2 tbsp Chopped rosemary leaves (2 prigs)
- 5 tbsp lemon juice (1 squeezed lemon)
- 2 tsp Worcester sauce
- Salt & pepper
Equipment
- 1 Air fryer
- 1 Bowl
- 1 small saucepan
- 1 Ziplock bag
Instructions
1 – marinade the salmon
- Combine the maple syrup, lemon juice Worcester sauce and rosemary in a bowl. Add some salt & pepper.
- Gently cover the marinade on the salmon and place the salmon (& any remaining marinade) in a zip lock bag. Remove the air and let marinade in the fridge for 1 hour or longer.
2 – cook the salmon
- When needed remove the salmon from the fridge.
- Gently take the salmon out of the bag and place in the air fryer. Leaving remaining marinade in the bag – see below
- Heat for 15 minutes at 180 degrees C
3 – finalise the salmon
- After you’ve removed the salmon from the bag, pour the remaining marinade into a small saucepan and gently heat to make glaze (glossy coating)
- When the salmon is cooked, remove it from the air fryer and gently brush the glaze on top.
How to use rosemary maple salmon.
Tastes great with rice & green beans (as in the picture). Or with new potatoes & veg or even salad.
Recipe note – air fryer, oven or grill?
When I first saw this recipe it was designed to be used on an outdoor grill. You can use either a grill, oven or air fryer to make it.
However I prefer using an air fryer because it’s quicker and a lot easier, see below.
